The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says the move it has taken to print tactile folders or Braille jackets to help visually impaired to vote with minimum or without help is a huge step in addressing concerns of such people.
ECZ Senior Public Relations Officer Sylvia Bwalya has told the media in Dubai where the Commission is printing ballot papers for the August 11th general elections that each polling station will have a Braille jacket for each stream.
She explained that the electoral officers will only help the visually impaired by telling them the names of candidates as they appear on the ballot papers.
