National Restoration Party president found something to expend his energies on having fallen out of the presidential race by demanding that modalities be put in place to ensure the referendum is a success.
Chipimo, who is not going to contest the August 11 elections said the Electoral Commission of Zambia should state clearly if there will be separate rooms for casting votes for the referendum away from the regular election voting.
He said the ECZ has not done enough to underline the significance of the referendum.
Chipimo said the referendum on the bill of rights was being taken casually with the bulk of the citizens unaware of what they will be voting on.
He said the bill of rights had not been translated in local languages to give the citizens who were not literate also comprehend the process.
The NAREP leader warned that the process risked failing if sensitization was not enhanced in the process.
And the ECZ has said that a separate queue will be made at the polling stations for people that will be participating in the referendum.
All persons aged 18 years and above possessing a National Registration Card will be eligible to vote in the referendum.
