By David Boroff: Two Georgia teens are in custody after the body of an 18-year-old man who hoped to join the Navy was found on Wednesday, four days after he went missing.
Dakota White, 17, and 18-year-old Brandon Warren have both been charged with murder in the death of Sam Poss, the Telegraph reported. The teen’s body was found in the woods after an exhaustive search.
Poss was killed by “strangulation, suffocation and/or stabbing,” according to a warrant obtained by the newspaper. Investigators believe Poss was likely killed early Saturday morning, according to WMAZ.
Both suspects appeared in court on Thursday in Houston County, and were denied bond.
Poss was last seen alive at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, his family told the Telegraph. He was last seen leaving Dakota White’s home, WMAZ reported.
It was believed that Poss was at the house to repair a computer, according to the Telegraph. Poss said no to a ride home and left on foot.
White was busted late Wednesday night, before the body was found, according to WMAZ. Warren was taken into custody at approximately 3 a.m. on Thursday.
Authorities had searched over 200 acres before finding the body, the Telegraph reported.
Poss had graduated from Perry High School earlier this year and would have pursued a career in the Navy, his family told the Telegraph. All three students had attended Perry High School.
