Two men are behind bars at Salima Police Station after being found in possession of Indian Hemp without licence.
Speaking to News Watch Reviews Salima Police Public Relations Officer Gift Chitowe said the two were arrested during early hours of July 1, 2017.
“The two suspects were arrested during the wee hours of July 1after receiving information that the suspects were using unchartered roots from Nkhotakota heading Blantyre while in possession of 120 plastic bags containing loose Indian Hemp”, said Chitowe
After receiving the information a follow up was made that has resulted in arresting the two at Kambwiri along Yonamu-Salima earth road.
Chitowe further said that the suspects were using Toyota Carina Registration number BR 950 and was being driven by Nelson Chimalizeni 36 years of Chipsye Village under Traditional Authority Chiseka with one passenger on board Harry Banda 37 years of Madenje Village in the area of Traditional Authority Chimutu, both from Lilongwe
The two will appear in court soon where they will answer charges of Found in possession of Indian Hemp without licence.
