Police have launched a manhunt after the brutal killing of an elderly woman Moloko Nkoana (88) and her domestic worker Maggie Molefe (44) in Makotopong village outside of Polokwane, Limpopo.
The victims were last seen on (16 August) and their bodies were later discovered when the granddaughter of the 88-year-old woman went to visit them. The bodies were already in a state of decomposition.
“One of the women was strangled while the other suffered multiple stab wounds.” Said the police spokesperson Ronel Otto.
“The motive behind the brutal killing is still unknown but robbery may not be ruled out because the deceased’s two cellphones are missing,” Otto said in a statement.
“It was a barbaric act by the unscrupulous criminals affecting women right in the middle of Women’s Month” The provincial commissioner Lieutenant Nneke Ledwaba expressed shock to the incident.
