Saulos Chilima Participates In Ryder Cup Fundraiser Tournament.

The Vice President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Saulos Chilima, on Saturday took part in an 18 hole golf tournament which was held at Lilongwe Golf Club.

The tournament was organised with the aim of raising funds for the purchase of medical equipments for Kamuzu Central Hospital.

The tournament known as Malawi Ryder Cup, is an attempt by the golfers and the private sector to compliment government’s efforts of improving health service delivery to the citizens of the country.

The raised funds will enable the hospital to purchase X-Ray Machines, Ultra Sound Scanners and Blood Chemistry Analysers.

At the tournament there was also the British High Commissioner to Malawi, Michael Nevin.

The two honourables were separated into two teams, Dr Saulos Chilima captained Team Malawi while Michael Nevin captained Team Rest of the World.

The organisers of the event are planning to make The Malawi Ryder Cup an annual event which will help the citizens of Malawi.
