After a long time of speculations of his wellbeing consolidated with unverified reports of conferences in USA, the Malawian President Peter Arthur Mutharika will on Friday, October 21, 2016, hold a Press meeting on UNGA trip.

An announcement released by the State House, signed by the President Press Secretary and Spokesperson Mgeme Kalilani demonstrates that the President will address the outcome of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting which was facilitated in USA.

As indicated by Kalilani, the conference will start at 1400hrs at Kamuzu Palace where the president is relied upon to answer questions from various media houses.

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Malawi left for UNGA on Septeber 13 and he over stayed in US without returning back home in time.

His exceed in USA raised speculations about his wellbeing citing that he was sick and specialists were working day and night to take care of the Malawian President.

Despite the Malawi government through the Minister of Information, Reverend Malison Ndau discrediting the rumours that the President is sick, Malawians witnessed themselves that their President was not in a robust wellbeing as it was claimed.

Upon landing at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA), the President was seen greeting the DPP cadres with the left hand while the right one was imobile and he neglected to address the crowd which assembled at the Airport as he used to do.

These two occasions indicated to Malawians that the announcement issued by the Minister was a lie and their President is confronting intense times.

Malawians are eagerly waiting for the day to hear from the President himself why it took so long for him to return home and the business meetings he had in USA.
