PF urges Zambians to vote for it in the August 11 elections

THE ruling party yesterday held

various campaign rallies across

the country with a call to

Zambians to vote for its

presidential, parliamentary and

ward candidates.

In Lusaka the rallies were held in

Chawama and Kabwata

constituencies, on the Copperbelt

in Kitwe and in Chisamba.

Vice President Inonge Wina who is

also President Lungu running mate

urged Chisamba resident to turn

up in big number on August 11

and vote for the Patriot Front ( PF).

In Kitwe Minister of Information

and Broadcasting Chishimba

Kambwili said the PF and its

leadership has demonstrated that

it is a party that can lead the

nation to greater heights.

In Chawama Minister of Local

Government and Housing, said

President Lungu has demonstrated

that he has an interest to improve

the welfare of Zambians and

should therefore, be accorded a full

five-year mandate to govern the

affairs of the nation.

In Kabwata Minister of Agriculture

Given Lubinda said the opposition

political leaders who have gunned

up and telling people that they will

develop the nation if ushered into

office are just lying.

“The President within the short

period he has been in office has

initiated and implemented various

development projects which are

aimed at uplifting the living

standards of people,” Mr Lubinda

said.

He said he is also happy that

President Lungu has appointed

youths to key positions in

Government and came up with

favourable policies that are

enabling them to contribute

effectively to national

development.
