Scores of Malawians who were travelling from the rainbow nation, South Africa to Malawi, have been involved in a bus accident in Mozambique.
Reports reaching News Watch Reviews from Mozambique says that a South African bus which was travelling to Malawi was caught in a deadly accident at Songo, close to Tete in Mozambique on Tuesday.
The bus belonging to Nyamende Bus Transport Services was carrying 68 passengers mostly Malawians who are said to be business people and some were going for holidays after spending years in the rainbow nation, South Africa.
The bus with registration number KM256NGP and the trailers registration number KM10NGP left South Africa on Sunday and it was expected to arrive in Blantyre on Tuesday afternoon.
Malawian Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of passengers who have lost their lives during this accident, but they have sent a task team to Mozambique to visit the scene of the incident.
Sketchy reports says that the accident happened after the trailer was disconnected from the main body while the bus was cruising. This made the bus to lose balance and hit the the truck which was in front of it.
