This afternoon’s game is a must win for the Flames who performed poorly during their opening match against their neighbours, Taifa Stars.

The Flames coach Ronny Van Geneugden has made four changes to the team that started against Tanzania bringing in Ian Chinyama, Levision Maganizo, Innocent Bokosi and Micium Mhone replacing Francis Mlimbika, Simeon Singa, Lucky Malata and Yamikani Chester respectively.

The Flames coach said the changes are tactical and they are ready to face their rivals and win the game.

“The changes have been made according to the game plan for this particular game. It doesn’t mean thise who have been droped from the first team are in a bad shape. This is a must win game for us as it will determine our destiny”, said RVG.

The Belgian tactician said that they are not going to change the style of play but they will continue passing around while building up meaningful attacks.

“The idea is to avoid giving the opponents respect but taking the game right to them from the start.

The Malawi national team has to win the two remaining games to qualify from their group which comprises four teams.
