  • (PACHI) says promoting transparency and
accountability is necessary for both government and
Cso’s to be in good terms so as to transform the
    community at large.
“it is important that the community who are
benefiting from different projects have the skills to
track down developments in their area, “says CEO
    Charles makwenda.
Cso’s in Mzimba district signed an MOU as a way
of strengthening cooperation of local governance
    and development.
Inkosi Mwabilabo said it is a good step taken by
both the council and Cso’s because in the past some
Ngo’s did not respect the values and dignity of the
    community.
  • “Some Cso’s could just come and implement projects
that were not what people needed, therefore their
    work was not seen.
“Understanding is very important for cooperation of
both parties used, because finger pointing in the past
when it came to issues of developmental projects
    was not healthy.’’
Parent and child health initiative (PACHI) is an
organization that is working with government and Ngo’s
    to enhance transparency and accountability.
The initiative has forced the ministry of finance to open a
website for people to access and track down
developmental projects that government is doing.
