Jose Mourinho on Sunday had a trip to Stamford Bridge to remind Chelsea fans of their past relationship but it ended in a sad note.
The boat which was being captained by the most expensive player, Paul Pogba was seen sinking and noone was able to rescue it.
As supporters were still glazing at it, suddenly it was gone down to deep waters at the bridge which was guided well by Antonio Conte and his troops.
United conceded the quickest goal in the Premier League this season to Pedro after 30 seconds and were then ripped apart as Gary Cahill (21), Eden Hazard (62) and N’Golo Kante hammered the last nail on the coffin in the 70th minute leaving Manchester supporters holding their heads in disbelief.
Mourinho was appointed by United in May after being sacked by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich for a second time last December. He took the reigns from the Dutch mentor Louis Van Gaal who was fired due to poor performance of the team.
Manchester United manager José Mourinho says his team’s early defensive mistake cost his side as the Red Devils were blown away 4-0 by Chelsea on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
Addressing the media, Mourinho blamed his defence for the mistakes they made so early on and changed the complexion of the match.
“You come with a strategy. You cannot concede a goal in the way we did. We were coming to have an offensive approach. We wanted to create chances. We showed that after the 1-0”, said Mourinho.
After the loss, United are lying seventh in the Premier League table, five points below Chelsea, who climbed to fourth, and six points behind leaders Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.
After the game Mourinho was seen having a heated conversation with Chelsea coach Conted. The Red Devils coach refused to reveal what he was discussing with his fellow counterpart citing that it was meant for him only and not for world to hear it.
