A dark cloud has fallen in Malawi as a former member of parliament for Nsanje Lalanje who was also a deputy Transport Minister Sam Ganda has died at the age of 53.
Reports indicate that Ganda flew to India for further medication as he was battling against cancer.
In his political carreer he worked with various political parties including Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and People’s Party (PP).
Malawians have depicted his demise as a blow to the Malawi nation as he was a leader and an inspiration to many.
“Its extremely miserable to hear the passing on of Sam Ganda. He was a decent and adoring father who was regarded by many as a humble person”, some were quoted saying with distress.
Messages of condolencies are pouring from all corners of the nation for losing their adored pioneer in a political world and in their region as well.
Burial arrangements are yet to be advised as they will be declared later by parliament.
The late Ganda is survived by a wife and two children.
