The South African officials have arrested the Economic Freedom Fighters chief commander, Julius Malema’s driver after he contravened road traffic rules on Monday morning.
According to reports from the rainbow nation, Malema’s car was caught over-speeding en-route to a court appearance in Bloemfontein and he refused to stop.
The tough and vibrant young polician’s vehicle was caught on camera being driven at 187kmh on a 120kmh zone on the NI South road to Bloemfontein.
Malema is appearing in court answering charges of ‘incitement’ after he addressed his supporters to take their land wherever they are as it belongs to them and not the whites.
The appeal was made in 2014 during the party’s first elected conference in Bloemfontein.
Julius was quoted saying they should should occupy the land because they need it.
“We must invade the land because it belongs to us. For us to eat and work, we must have the land”, he told his audience.
He added, “I come from Seshego, if there is unoccupied land we will go and invade it”, he concluded.
He further urged his followers to invade the land in those branches they come from.
Julius Malema faces charges contravening the Riotous Assemblies Act and his case has been postponed to June 5, 2017 in Bloemfontein Magistrate court.
