Luis Suarez left Liverpool to join Barcelona in the summer of 2014 and has since confirmed his status as one of the best players in the world, but he has failed to negotiate a way through the strong Liverpool side at Wembly on Saturday.

Prolific Liverpool strikers, Sadio Mane and Divock Origi were among the goals for Liverpool, as they recorded a 4-0 win over FC Barcelona at Wembley Stadium during a Champions international cup.

The Reds were presented with a chance inside the opening minute, when Mane’s cross found Wijnaldum, who blasted his effort wide.

A 15th minute the first half finish by the new signing from Southampton, Sadio Mané and two second half goals in a space of one minute, an own goal by Javier Mascherano and a super strike by Divock Origi 60 seconds later. Marko Grujic sealed the victory in the stoppage time of the game to hand Klopp’s men their sixth pre-season victory.

Liverpool took the lead in the 15th minute, as Mane collected a pass from Adam Lallan before slamming home from close range. The Senegalese international caused more damage at the start of the second half after racing down the right wing and putting the ball into a dangerous area, which Mascherano miss-kicked into his own net.

Barcelona carved out their first opening chance in the 23rd minute when Luis Suarez teamed up well with Lionel Messi, who struck the upright from eight-yards.

Jurgen Klopp’s charges added a third goal a minute later as substitute Divock Origi latched onto pass from Kevin Stewart, before calmly slotting past Cladio Bravo.

Marko Grujic rounded off the scoring in stoppage time, as the winger grabbed Liverpool’s fourth with a well-placed header from 12-yards out.

Jurgen Klopp made many changes to try his new signings before the 2016-2017 season starts in few days time.
